According to the Microsoft officials provided to the company's OEM partners at WinHEC 2016 in Shenzhen last week, in a session titled  "Cortana and the Speech Platform,"     Mr May Ji described the ways that Microsoft wants its PC and device partners to make use of new "Wake on Voice from Modern Standby" and "Far-field Voice" support that's being added to Windows 10 with the Creators Update that's due out in the Spring of 2017. Brain Controlled Car                    Hackers Turn Tesla Into a Brain-Controlled Car                                  --   By  Alyssa Danigelis, Seeker.      The Tesla Model S had only gone a few feet, rolling mostly straight from one empty spot in the parking garage to another. The driver wasn't behind the wheel, though. He sat in the passenger's seat, donning an EEG headset that allowed him to control the vehicle with his mind. Meet Telepathic. This feat is the brainchild of California-based technologists Casey Spencer, Lorenzo Caoile, Vivek Vinodh and Abenezer Mamo. Their team used Spencer's 2015 Tesla Model S 85D for the hack, and their project placed third at the  Cal Hacks  event for university students this month. The team only had 36 hours to make telepathic happen for the hackathon. In their setup, an EEG headset translates the brain activity for "stop" or "go" into analog signals broadcast by an off-the-shelf RC radio a

It's the greatest trick? Letting you take calls by pressing your finger into your ear like some kind of kids' make believe fake phone game has become reality. The idea comes from a Samsung project called C-Lab, where over 100 projects run by internal staff have been initiated since 2012. TipTalk is one of nine to be broken out as a full external startup. As smartwatches take hold, many horological hardliners are sticking to their traditional watches with renewed fervor. So the arrival

Faraday FFZERO1 Over the years I've seen a lot of concept EVs at a lot of motor shows from a lot of companies that were never heard from again, little startups making big promises about big cars with big wings. Undelivered promises, for the most part. And so, it's easy for me to look at the unveiling of the radical Faraday Future FFZERO1 here at the International   CES   in Las Vegas and see just another far-fetched idea from an idealistic company with ambitions broader than its budget.    But that doesn't seem to be the case here -- and that's despite no lack of ambition. Faraday Future is backed by Letv, a Chinese media and technologies company with a market value in the tens of billions of dollars. This backing has enabled Faraday to build a team of hundreds and invest $1 billion in a battery factory here in Nevada. That   should   be enough to silence plenty of critics despite the   car   itself looking like little more than a flight of fancy.    An
